For gated communities, HOAs, and the security teams that staff them

Guard Attendance Software with Time IN and Time OUT

Know who is on duty at your gate. Guards clock in and out from the mobile app — managers see live status, history, and optional GPS with every punch.

Paper Attendance Leaves Communities Blind

When attendance lives in registers or WhatsApp messages, managers cannot prove who was on duty, when a shift started, or whether a guard actually showed up.

  • No live on-duty visibility
  • Missed or fake check-ins
  • Hard to audit for HOA boards

How GuardWatch Attendance Works

Simple Time IN / Time OUT for field guards — clear records for community and company admins.

  1. 1

    Assign the guard

Each guard is linked to a gated community so attendance belongs to the right site from the first punch.

  2. 2

    Time IN / Time OUT

Guards clock in and out from the GuardWatch app. Optional GPS is stored when available — punches are never blocked if location is missing.

  3. 3

    Managers review

Admins see who is on duty, session duration, history, and can force-out or correct records when a guard forgets to clock out.

What Is Guard Attendance Software?

Guard attendance software digitizes Time IN and Time OUT for security staff. Instead of handwritten registers, each duty session is recorded with start time, end time, status, and optional location — so gated communities and security companies can answer a basic question with confidence: was this guard on duty?

GuardWatch attendance is built for community operations. Guards use the mobile app at the gate; community admins, security company admins, and super admins manage records from the web dashboard. That makes attendance useful both for day-to-day staffing and for HOA or client reporting.

Attendance complements visitor management and guard management: visitor scans prove who entered; attendance proves who was working the post.

Guard Attendance FAQs

Plain answers for community managers and security operators evaluating attendance software.

What is guard attendance software?

Guard attendance software lets security guards clock Time IN and Time OUT on a mobile app, while community managers and security companies see who is on duty, for how long, and when — instead of paper registers or WhatsApp check-ins.

How do gated communities track guard attendance?

With GuardWatch, each guard is assigned to a community. They clock in and out from the guard app. Community admins and supervisors review open and closed sessions in the dashboard, including duration and optional GPS coordinates captured at punch time.

How does GuardWatch Time IN and Time OUT work?

A guard taps Time IN to start an open attendance session and Time OUT to close it. Only one open session is allowed at a time. If a guard forgets to clock out, an admin can force-close the session so records stay accurate.

Does guard attendance require GPS?

GPS is optional. When the guard app can access location, GuardWatch stores latitude and longitude with the punch. If location is unavailable or denied, the attendance punch still succeeds without blocking the guard.

Who can view and manage attendance records?

Community admins see attendance for their community. Security company admins see records for their guards. Super admins can view and manage attendance across communities, including manual corrections and voiding bad records.

How is attendance different from visitor QR scanning?

Visitor scanning validates guest entry at the gate. Attendance tracks whether a guard is on duty. Both can record GPS when available, but they answer different questions: who entered versus who was working.

How do I get started with GuardWatch attendance?

Assign guards to a community, have them install the GuardWatch guard app, and start with Time IN / Time OUT on the dashboard. Admins can review history immediately and correct missed punches when needed.
