GuardWatch FAQ

What is GuardWatch?

Visitor and security management software for housing societies, gated communities and apartment complexes. Residents create QR visitor passes, guards scan them at the gate, and admins see a permanent digital log.

Who is it for?

Society committees and HOA boards, community admins, facility managers, on-site guards, and the security companies that staff those gates.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every society can start a 30-day free pilot. No card is needed and nothing is charged during the pilot.

Does the pilot turn into a paid plan automatically?

No. After the pilot you choose a plan yourself.

How much does it cost?

Starter $99/month (up to 200 units, 10 guards), Professional $249/month (up to 500 units, 25 guards), Enterprise $499/month (unlimited units and guards). Prepaying for a year gets a discount.

How do societies in Pakistan pay?

Plans are invoiced in PKR and paid by bank transfer. GuardWatch doesn't take credit cards and doesn't auto-charge. You upload your payment proof and the team verifies it.

Is there a setup fee?

Online pilot signup has no setup fee and includes remote setup help. In Pakistan, optional on-site assisted onboarding is a one-time charge (Starter PKR 25,000, Professional PKR 40,000, Enterprise PKR 60,000), billed only if you choose it, when you move to a paid plan. There's no setup fee outside Pakistan.

How does a visitor get in?

The resident creates a pass in the Resident app, and the guest receives a unique QR, usually over WhatsApp. The guard scans it in the Guard app, the host unit is confirmed, the resident is notified, and the entry is logged.

What if the guest's phone screen is cracked or dim?

The guard can type the pass code in manually.

How do maids, drivers and other daily helpers enter?

Each helper gets their own Helper QR that works only during their permitted daily hours, so residents don't need to create a pass every day.

Do residents need iPhones or new phones?

No. The apps run on existing Android phones. iOS is in development.

Do guards need a new phone?

Usually not. Most societies use an existing Android phone at the gate.

Does it work without internet?

Scanning needs a data connection to verify and log entries. Keep mobile data as a backup for when gate Wi-Fi or power drops.

How are guard shifts tracked?

Guards record shift Time IN and Time OUT in the Guard app, and every scan is tied to the guard who made it.

What does the committee see?

The Admin app and dashboard let you manage units, users and guards, view live guest and helper activity feeds, and filter logs by date, unit or guest.

How long does setup take?

Usually days once your unit list and admin contacts are ready. The exact time depends on community size. The steps are demo, configuration, guard training, resident onboarding, then go-live.

Can we stop using the paper register?

Yes. Once scanning is live the paper book isn't needed. You can keep old registers as an archive.

Is our data encrypted?

Yes, in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest with the cloud hosting providers. Access is role-based.

Is GuardWatch SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?

Not yet. Neither has been started, and they'll be published on the Trust Center only once obtained.

Do you sell resident data?

No. Location is collected only in the guard app, with permission, and never for residents or visitors.
